THE SHED
Improving wellbeing, reducing loneliness and combatting social isolation.
Thursdays 10AM - 1PM
John Knox Parish Church
High Street Stewarton
Stewarton Community Shed
Connection, conversation and creation – that’s what joining a Shed is all about.
Sheds encourage people to come together to make, repair and repurpose, supporting projects in their local communities.
Our Shed is open to all over 18's, men and women.
Work on your own and group projects that meet your skills and needs, with tools and equipment in a safe environment.
Feel good about yourself, be productive, contribute to the community, connect with friends and maintain an active body, mind and soul.
New members will be given training in safe working practices for tools regardless of their previous experience or knowledge.
Come along, introduce yourself to our team, have a look around and join us at Stewarton Community Shed.
The Shed was opened by the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland Rev Dr Shaw Paterson. A massive thank you to all our contractors and volunteers who have made the Shed a reality including: Jim Lygate, Don Lochrie, Ian Campbell, Hugh Montgomery, Stewart Beck, Scottish Mens Shed Association, Tivoli Group, Timber Shop, QTS Rail, Lakeside Landscapes, Billy Bowie Special Projects, IG Contracts, Lakeside Electrical, McFarlane Heating, Mackintosh & Wylie, CVO East Ayrshire, Community Mental Health & Wellbeing Fund, and Souter Foundation.
